Admissions Overview

At The Grange International Preschool, we offer a warm and nurturing start for young children, with a strong focus on play-based, inquiry-led learning. We welcome families from diverse backgrounds into a caring environment where every child’s curiosity and individuality are valued.

Our admissions process is simple, transparent, and supportive. From your first enquiry to your child’s first day, our team is here to guide you every step of the way, ensuring a smooth and reassuring experience for both you and your child.

How To Apply

At our school, we believe in a structured and comprehensive admissions process designed to ensure that each student is thoughtfully placed and well-supported. This approach allows us to consider each child’s individual needs and strengths which creates a nurturing and dynamic learning environment.

1

Enquire or Book A Tour

Start by contacting us to learn more about our school and explore what we offer. You can either book a personalised tour of our campus or request further information and we’ll be happy to answer any questions and guide you through the process.

2

Submit Your Application

In order to complete the application, not only do you have to submit the necessary forms but also the required documents. These documents are essential for us to begin reviewing your child’s profile and to ensure they meet our admission criteria.

3

Attend a Pre-Enrolment Interview

Once we receive your application, we will arrange a pre-enrolment interview. This interview helps us understand your child’s educational background, interests, and aspirations. It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and learn more about our school.

4

Year Group Placement

Based on the interview and the application details, we’ll recommend the appropriate placement for your child. This ensures that your child’s learning experience is both appropriate and engaging.

For any application to be processed, please ensure all documents are submitted to us at enquiry@thegrange.edu.sg.

Frequently Asked Questions about International School Admission in Singapore

What is the admissions process for international schools in Singapore?

The admissions process for international schools in Singapore typically involves submitting an application form, previous school records, and possibly teacher recommendations. Some schools may also require an assessment or interview to understand the applicant’s academic level and interests.

At The Grange Institution, we aim to make the process as smooth as possible for families, an assigned admissions staff will be guiding you through each step and ensuring a transparent and welcoming experience from the initial inquiry to enrolment.

The Grange Institution accepts students who hold a Dependant Pass (DP), Permanent Residency (PR), or Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP). As an international school in Singapore, admission requirements may vary, but schools generally look for students who are enthusiastic and open to diverse learning experiences.

For Singapore citizens, approval from the Ministry of Education (MOE) is required. Additionally, while some schools may have specific age or academic level requirements, The Grange places emphasis on each child’s unique qualities, providing equal opportunities for students from all backgrounds and abilities.

It’s advisable to begin the application process as early as possible, ideally several months before the intended start date, as spaces can fill up quickly. At The Grange, we encourage families to contact us well in advance to secure a place and ensure a seamless transition for your child. Early applications also allow time to complete any required assessments, tours, or meet-and-greet sessions with our admissions team.

Several factors contribute to international school fees in Singapore, including the curriculum offered, facilities, and the range of programmes available to students. Schools that provide globally recognised curricula, specialised learning spaces, and diverse extracurricular opportunities may require additional resources to support these programmes.

Another consideration is that most international schools operate independently and are not subsidised by the local government. Tuition fees therefore support teaching staff, campus facilities, learning resources, and student programmes designed to create a well-rounded educational experience.
